Buying a car from Japan is simpler than you think. Here is how it works with DH Global Trading.
1. Choose a car
Browse the showroom, or tell us the make, model, year and budget you have in mind and we will look for it.
2. Chat with us
Message us on WhatsApp or send an enquiry. We send more photos, the auction sheet details and a price – FOB Japan, or CIF / C&F Colombo on request.
3. Confirm your order
When you are happy, we confirm the details and the payment steps in writing and reserve the car for you.
4. We ship it to Sri Lanka
Your car is prepared for export and shipped from Japan to Sri Lanka. We keep you updated until it arrives.
FOB, CIF and C&F – what do they mean?
- FOB Japan (Free On Board): the price of the car delivered to the ship in Japan. Shipping and insurance are extra.
- C&F Colombo (Cost and Freight): car price plus sea freight to Colombo.
- CIF Colombo (Cost, Insurance and Freight): car price plus freight and marine insurance to Colombo.
Prices on this site do not include Sri Lankan import duty, taxes, port or clearing charges unless stated. Import rules are set by Sri Lankan authorities and can change – see our import disclaimer.
